Our Story

CCA at Downtown was established in 2020, bringing the award-winning Colorado Children's Academy experience to the heart of Colorado Springs. We are proud to be one of only 3 childcare programs in the entire Colorado Springs metro area to achieve a Colorado Shines Level 5 rating — the highest quality level awarded by the State of Colorado. This distinction reflects our commitment to exceptional early childhood education, safety, and family support.

We proudly serve our military community through the Child Care Aware program, which subsidizes quality childcare for active-duty military families. CCA at Downtown offers infant care, toddler, preschool, pre-K, school-age, before and after school transportation, and summer camp programs for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.

In 2024 and 2025, CCA at Downtown was awarded Best Child Care Organization by the local early childhood council — an honor voted on by families just like yours.
