January at Colorado Children’s Academy marked a fresh start filled with exploration, creativity, and intentional learning. Across our Flatirons, Olympic, and Downtown campuses, students jumped into the new year with engaging winter themes, confidence-building routines, and activities designed to support growth in every classroom.
❄️ Flatirons Campus: Winter Discovery & New Beginnings
The Flatirons Louisville campus welcomed the new year with winter-themed learning that encouraged curiosity and hands-on discovery. Students explored seasonal science concepts such as ice, snow, and temperature through simple experiments and sensory activities.
Classrooms also focused on building strong routines and social skills, helping children transition smoothly into the new year while reinforcing independence, cooperation, and classroom confidence.
🎨 Olympic Campus: Creativity, Comfort & Classroom Connections
At Olympic Colorado Springs, January was all about creativity and connection. Children enjoyed cozy classroom days filled with winter art projects, storytelling, and music and movement activities that supported fine and gross motor development.
Teachers introduced age-appropriate goal-setting concepts, encouraging children to try new things, express their ideas, and celebrate progress big and small.
🏙️ Downtown Campus: Community, Kindness & Winter Fun
The Downtown Colorado Springs campus focused on community-building and kindness throughout January. Through group activities, collaborative games, and circle-time conversations, students practiced sharing, listening, and empathy.
Winter-themed dramatic play and literacy activities brought stories to life, keeping children engaged while strengthening language and social-emotional skills.
